Silent Hill 2's first post-release update, 1.04, is out now on PlayStation 5 and PC. The new update fixes a long list of issues, crashes, and bugs on both platforms. Exclusively on PC, the game now supports Nvidia DLSS frame generation, as well as a new option to possibly fix stuttering problems. For AMD and Intel GPU users, a new culling option will hopefully cut down on some of the traversal stutter people have been complaining about since launch. It also tweaks the Abstract Daddy boss fight. Apparently, the boss wasn’t working properly and that made it harder for it to attack you. That might explain why I was able to beat that boss without taking any damage on my first attempt. And here I just thought I was really good at the game.
